Today, February 4, 2020, is World Cancer Day. Led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), today is about inspiring action to bring us closer to a cancer-free future. Created in 2000, World Cancer Day has grown into a positive movement that unites us under one voice to face one of our greatest challenges in history. By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalyzing personal, collective and government action, together we’re working to reimagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equal for all.
Each year on this day, activities and events take place around the world, gathering communities, organizations and individuals in schools, businesses, hospitals, marketplaces, parks, community halls, places of worship – in the streets and online – acting as a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in reducing the global impact of cancer. This year’s World Cancer Day’s theme, I Am and I Will, is all about making a commitment to act.
As a full-service oncology CRO, Catalyst is dedicated to uniting in the fight against the global cancer epidemic. We strive to help maneuver life-changing therapies for cancer through the complex and dynamic clinical trial environment. This World Cancer Day, we recognize that our commitment to act will lead to powerful progress in reducing the global impact of cancer. We ARE committed, and WILL remain committed to making lasting and positive changes. Progress is possible. Join us in making a commitment to a cancer-free world. See what you can do to join the fight.
