Carmen Rodriguez
Carmen Rodriguez, Clinical Monitoring Manager, Catalyst Oncology, has been with Catalyst since 2022 brings over 25 years of expertise to her role. Based in Madrid, Spain, she focuses on the management of clinical monitoring staff around the world and specializes in overseeing professional development, performance, and resource management.
Carmen’s passion is in making a meaningful impact within the field of clinical trials. Her unwavering commitment to working on oncology trials that help improve the lives of patients fighting cancer drives her every day.
“Knowing that my work helps to improve the lives of many people with cancer—and that can impact their families and friends—motivates me,” Carmen explains.
Working in cancer research impacts her personal life as well. Carmen says, “The work we do makes me more aware that we have to take care of our health and value the work doctors and researchers do daily.”
Carmen acknowledges that working for a global company allows for unique development opportunities for her and her teammates. She values the chance to meet new people and learn about their cultures, interests, and ideas.
“Collaborating across time zones provides opportunities for personal and professional growth,” Carmen explains. “Such experiences constantly influence the way I work and deepens my understanding of different cultures.”
Carmen enjoys her role at Catalyst Oncology, particularly the collaboration with her colleagues around the world. Her enthusiasm and dedication to the company’s mission is evident in every aspect of her work. Each day she leads her teams, helping them to solve any issues and managing general department matters.
“We work with clients who appreciate our professionalism and experience,” Carmen explains. “Our company culture encourages employees and creates an excellent environment.”
A significant factor in Carmen’s choice to work for Catalyst is its people. Carmen says, “A former colleague whom I admired very much was already working at Catalyst and that helped me to join Catalyst. From Carmen’s first interview, she felt the Catalyst culture, which helped her make the decision to join the Catalyst team and support its mission to inspire people to design and deliver better clinical trials.
