Keya Watkins, PMP, Senior Vice President, Catalyst Oncology, manages an international team of dedicated clinical research professionals. Keya brings more than 25 years of experience in drug development with both biopharma and clinical service providers. Keya has built and provided oversight of multidisciplinary teams across clinical development operations inclusive of clinical operations, data sciences, and trial support services. She also served as an executive in both operational and commercial roles and has been involved in several complex, global trials in various therapeutic areas and phases with a concentration on oncology and hematology programs.

Keya prides herself on building and managing high-functioning teams that deliver excellence while ultimately bringing meaningful therapies to patients in need.

Keya readily discusses how frequently cancer touches the lives of so many people, including hers. She knows the impact clinical research can make on patients when we get therapies from the bench to market quickly. She helps her team members remember that they are doing meaningful work every day that can impact people’s lives.

“Cancer impacts everyone,” Keya says. “People grapple for a lifetime with the impact a cancer diagnosis has. Patients’ journeys affect their entire community: each one of their loved ones, their friends, their coworkers, and so on.”

She is honored to worked in an environment that deeply cares about the patients who really don’t have other treatment options available. Keya knows that the world isn’t going to change overnight, but the work she and her team do can make small steps toward creating some sunshine in the world.

“Even the smallest contribution,” she says, “will lead to a much greater good and bring joy to those in need and their communities.”

“Each day I strive to do the right things by inspiring my team to find solutions that will improve clinical trials in oncology.”

“Catalyst has a strong purpose, which is to inspire people to design and deliver better clinical trials,” Keya explains. “Each day I strive to do the right things by inspiring my team to find solutions that will improve clinical trials in oncology”
