Running for St Jude’s. Continuing our Work to Defeat Childhood Cancer

Oct 6, 2022 | Article

… well, we say running, some of us might have been walking. But it’s all for a good cause so it doesn’t matter how we get there as long as we do it together!

At Catalyst our core culture is driven by a people-first belief and an aspiration to always do the right thing. That is why we are so passionate about philanthropy and volunteering, striving to collaborate and support charities for the greatest impact on oncology research. This year we have continued our partnership with St Jude’s, getting involved with as many events as we can.

September marks Childhood Cancer Awareness Month which means a special fundraising drive for our charity St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Last month we wore our PJs to work and ran, or walked, 3.1 miles (5km) to continue to raise money and collaborate with St Jude’s.

As a proud sponsor to the St. Jude Walk/Run the team were honored to step-up and don their sneakers for the cause. Our sponsorship included helping out in the running of the events and cheering on colleagues and participants alike. The event was held on Saturday 24th September, with our offices and remote teams participating in the events or completing the walk/run via tracking apps.

We are delighted to announce we have fundraised a magnificent $19,194 from our corporate sponsorship and the team’s efforts.

Our “people first” culture ensures we can continue to be responsive and attentive to our charities’ needs in our philanthropy efforts, whilst also fundraising in a way where we create opportunities to collaborate across our teams in our commitment to St Jude’s.
