According to the American Cancer Society, in 2021, more than 10,000 children under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with some form of cancer. Thanks to the research and development of better therapies, the survival rate has increased to over 80% over the last few decades.
This September, for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Catalyst continues to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in their efforts to cure childhood cancer and grow the long-term survival rate to 100%. This week, we invited our employees to participate in PJammin’ for Kids with Cancer – a great way to raise awareness about childhood cancer and to stand with those children battling the disease. Why Pajamas? Pajamas are often the battle uniform for kids with cancer. Stuck in the hospital for long periods of time during treatment, kids live in their PJs.
The Catalyst team members, both remote and office-based, were proud supporters of this initiative raising more than $750 for St. Jude. Take a peek at some photos from our day of office comfort for kids with cancer:
Tomorrow, Saturday, September 25, Catalyst will continue to honor and support those diagnosed with childhood cancer by participating in the Triangle St. Jude Walk/Run. While the 2021 event is virtual, our Raleigh, NC, Wilmington, NC, and Clinton, CT offices are coming together at our local offices with remote employees choosing their own routes to tackle the 3.1 miles! We welcome you to join us in our fundraising efforts for St. Jude by joining one of our 4 corporate teams or by making a donation today.
