Wilmington Business Publication Highlights Accomplishments of Regional Leaders

Wilmington, NC, 8 December 2021 – Catalyst CEO Nick Dyer was recognized as one of Wilmington’s top business leaders in 2021 by the WilmingtonBiz publication. Catalyst is headquartered in Wilmington; Dyer is a long-time New Hanover County resident.

The publication annually highlights 100 influential, community-focused leaders who have enriched the quality of life in Wilmington and New Hanover County and contributed to the region’s vibrant business culture. As part of the WilmingtonBiz selection process, five categories are identified within the top 100 business leaders: power players, influencers, innovators, connectors, and rising stars. Dyer, who joined Catalyst as CEO in 2018, was cited as an innovator.

Under the leadership and innovation of Dyer, the number of Catalyst employees grew from 14 to more than 300 by 2021. More than half of the members of the global team are based in North Carolina. The company’s significant presence in the Wilmington area has helped many local organizations with volunteering and philanthropy, including the Brigade Boys and Girls Club and Nourish NC, as well as several NC-based foundations. Most recently, Catalyst’s corporate philanthropy effort raised more than $17,000 for the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital – The Carolinas in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Dyer and his management team have insisted on a values-driven culture that encourages client, candidate, and employee feedback to ensure an open, fully transparent organization. By encouraging feedback and responding based on that process, the company has earned high rankings in satisfaction surveys. Additionally, the company operates with a high standard of diversity, equity, and inclusion evident in its primarily female executive leadership team, 70% female workforce, and 98% employee retention rate.

“We are excited for Nick to gain this recognition on the WilmingtonBiz 100 list,” says Catalyst SVP, People and Culture, Marshall Skelton. “His leadership and people-first focus have been instrumental in creating an innovative and collaborative culture at Catalyst that our people, partners, and clients know and appreciate.”
